Primers I have bought over the past couple of months.
Eyelid primers include the Hard Candy and Urban Decay Primer Potion.
The Hard Candy stuff basically just feels like you’ve put hand lotion on your eyelids and really didn’t make a big difference as far as making my eyeshadow last throughout the day.  The Urban Decay Primer Potion, on the other hand, was completely worth every penny.  Every single beauty vlog I had been watching raved about this stuff, bit I was too broke to splurge on something I had never tried.  While I was checking out at Ulta, I scanned the table and saw a mini version for $10 or $12 and went for that as a test trial.  Totally worth it.  I’m going to be a sad puppy when I run out.
Now onto facial primers.
First one that I was pushed into buying was the bare minerals Prime Time facial primer.  The kind ladies at Sephora don’t hesitate to remark on how many issues you need to cover up, so while testing foundations, she grabbed this one to combat my redness.  This stuff seemed promising and I guess I was naiive at the time, so I went ahead and bought it.  This stuff has a watery consistency and rubs off just as easily.  Given my oily skin, it doesn’t not stick to my face at all and barely reduces the redness.  So it’s basically useless as a primer, since makeup is supposed to stick to primer.  Thumbs down.
My friend started raving about Benefit’s line of cosmetics, so I browsed the counter with her one day.  I decided how awesome the Pore Fessional had “airbrushed’ the back of my hand (noob move), so I brought it back home with me.  All in all, the stuff is pretty cool, it’s got such a smooth texture without being greasy and packing it onto my problem pores does have a slight effect, though not as much as I would like.  However, I was extremely disappointed when I bought the other silicone primer from NYX because it feels EXACTLY the same.  I again bought the green stuff to help reduce redness and, until today, thought it was BS.  However, today I let it sit on my face for a little while longer than usual and it whether it was my imagination or not, it seemed like my face was a little less red.  For now, this will be my go-to primer for now.  I also tried the Benefit 15 hour primer and loved it at first.  It’s kind of like putting a thin layer of wax on your face but not as heavy as you’d imagine.  The whole stick broke off one day, and the fact that it enhances my fine lines when I put concealer on top made me love it less.
And finally smashbox, which I got in a smashbox set last Christmas.  I tested this puppy out right before a wedding and was horrified when I looked in a mirror later that evening to discover how utterly greasy my face was.  More than usual.  A big thumbs down.
